BBRG team participated and presented in CHBE Research Day
On Friday, April 29, 2022, the CHBE Department opens its doors to scientists, engineers, and industry partners to showcase the leading-edge research done by its graduate students. On this year’s Research Day, BBRG’s Ph.D. student, Mohammad Aliahmadi had a poster presentation on a proposed two-step drying technique in a single high-temperature rotary drum dryer. The main objective of this project is to reduce the energy consumption and the associated GHG emissions of the drying operation in a commercial farm enterprise (BARR-AG Ltd.) that produces dried animal feed for export markets. This research is supported by Biomass Canada Cluster (BMC) managed by BioFuelNet and funded by Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s AgriScience Program.
